The Problem
After five years of consistent performance, Easy Checkout’s existing design began to show limitations, driven by evolving user needs, technological advancements, and increasing competition. These challenges manifested across several key areas:
Feature Scalability
The existing design lacked the flexibility to integrate new features. Attempts to add these functionalities often led to visual clutter, making the interface feel cramped and overwhelming.
Fragmented Flows
Critical user journeys were disrupted by fragmented flows. For example, EMI options were buried behind multiple steps, requiring users to enter card details before accessing tenure options.
Lack of Context Persistence
Secondary features replaced the main payment view entirely, breaking user focus and interrupting the flow of transactions. Contextually unrelated elements were grouped together in navigation menus.
Overcrowded Layout
The single-column layout forced multiple actions into a confined space, creating a cluttered and visually overwhelming interface. This not only reduced usability but also complicated navigation.
Key Drivers
The redesign of SSLCOMMERZ Easy Checkout was driven by the need to elevate the platform’s capabilities in line with user expectations and market demands. The focus was on creating a payment experience that was not only seamless and intuitive but also future-ready.
Future-Ready Scalability
The new design prioritizes a modular structure that supports the integration of emerging features like BNPL, promo codes, and split payments. This approach ensures the platform can evolve without compromising the user experience.
Building User Trust through Transparency
clarity in their transactions. The redesign emphasizes transparent fee breakdowns, real-time updates for EMI options, and clear payment summaries to foster trust and reduce decision-making friction.
Inclusive Accessibility
To cater to a diverse user base, the platform adheres to WCAG standards, offering high-contrast visuals, readable typography, and simplified navigation. This ensures usability for everyone, from tech-savvy users to those less familiar with digital platforms.
Faster, Streamlined Experiences
The redesign eliminates unnecessary steps, optimizes user flows, and incorporates features like saved payment methods to reduce checkout times. By focusing on efficiency, the platform minimizes drop-offs and enhances transaction completion rates.
Localized Payment Solutions
Understanding the unique needs of the Bangladeshi market, the platform supports local payment methods such as mobile banking, Bangla QR, and digital wallets. This localized approach ensures relevance and convenience for users.
